The Mediation Council launched a video clip within a campaign aimed at promoting mediation to inform the population about methods of resolving disputes by mediation. Conferences, seminars, debates and meetings with mediators will be staged during the campaign in different regions of the country, IPN reports.
Recently, the Mediation Council has launched the modernized website www.mediere.gov.md, where the people can find out useful information about the work of this body.
Mediation is a settlement of a dispute or controversy by setting up an independent person between two contending parties in order to aid them in the settlement of their disagreement. There are 656 accredited mediators in Moldova. The Mediation Council was constituted under the Ministry of Justice to organize and coordinate the work of mediators.
