The General Inspectorate for Emergencies of the Ministry of the Interior has launched a campaign to prevent fires in the housing sector. The rescuers visited first Fauresti village situated near Chisinau municipality, IPN reports.
Within the campaign, the people will be informed about the necessity of correctly using heating sources and the dangers faced when these are used incorrectly. The rescuers call on the population to examine the stoves before the heating season and to remove the inflammable things from near heating installations. The people are also warned to put out the fire in the stove before going to sleep so as to avoid fires and carbon monoxide poisonings.
Employees of the General Inspectorate for Emergencies will travel to all the communities of Moldova with recommendations. According to statistics, 46 fires this year have been caused by faulty stoves or heating devices. The campaign to prevent fires in the housing sector will be conducted throughout the cold season.
