A group of people working in different areas of activity in the country’s regions announced their readiness to contribute to the rehabilitation of the kindergarten in Saiti, Causeni. A campaign in this respect was launched on a social networking site, IPN reports.

The campaign’s initiator Sergiu Musteata, who heads the Association of Young Historians of Moldova and is from Saiti, committed himself to rehabilitating the kindergarten’s library and urged his colleagues to support him in his efforts. Sergiu Musteata said several persons already responded to his call and want to offer toys and books, including the publishing house Abecelus, which will provide a bag with books for children of pre-school age.

The Mayor of Saiti Valeriu Musteata has told IPN that all these gestures are very important for the villagers. They collected over 10,000 lei for hastening the renovation works. Local companies also intend to make contributions.

The kindergarten in Saiti was destroyed in a fire as a result of a short circuit last week. The Government decided to erect a new building at a cost of about 3 million lei.
