Before the winner holidays, children of the kindergartens and placement centers of Cahul, Cantemir, Taraclia and Basarabeasca districts received baked products as presents. This is the third donation made within the social campaign “National products for Moldova’s children” that is implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry together with its partners, IPN reports.
In the donation event at Kindergarten No. 8 of Cahul town, Minister of Agriculture Eduard Grama said the donated three tones and a half of baked products are to reach 11,000 children in over 120 kindergartens and 28 placement centers of the four districts. “It is a social campaign that was launched to also promote the national products. The campaign will continue after the winner holidays with donations of milk products and cans,” he stated.
Veaceslav Gutuleac, chairman of the National Association of Baking and Grinding Industries that is a donation partner, said this campaign is very important because there are many national producers that supply products of a high quality and this thing should be promoted. “We can guarantee products of the highest quality. That’s why we joined this social campaign, alongside the Ministry of Agriculture. We want to reach the children and show that we have a competitive product by price and quality,” he stated.
“We came with biscuits and pretzels and other sweets that can bring joy to a child,” said the commercial director of SA “Franzeluta” Lilian Zaporojan.
Director of Kindergarten No. 8 Angela Bogus said the institution is attended by 350 children and each of them will get by a package of baked products as a present. “These are national products and the parents are satisfied that they are not brought from abroad,” she stated.
The social campaign “National products for Moldova’s children” has been launched this summer and will continue for two years. Earlier, within the campaign, the children of Chisinau municipality of the northern districts were supplied with fruit and vegetables.
