A group of young people from a number of NGOs and companies plan to hold a cleanup event around the lake situated near the City Gates in Botanica district of Chisinau. The citizens are urged to join in the effort on March 3.

Contacted by IPN, Dmitri Polschin, project manager, said the event is staged in concert with the public organization Forum.md, the social community Oraș Fără Maxi-Taxi (City Free from Maxi-Taxi) and a recycling company. The volunteers who will join in will be offered gloves and sacks for collecting garbage.

The organizers said this area where many people come to rest when spring comes is now very dirty. It looks awful and the environment there is polluted.

Those who want to take part in the event can come to the lake at 10am on March 3.
