The Moldovans in Russia and in Moldova who were banned from entering the Russian Federation can use a call center to find out if they are covered by the second stage of the migration amnesty announced for the beginning of next year. From Russia, the persons can call 8 800 707 0044 and 8 495 123 3944, while from Moldova +7 800 707 0044 and + 7 495 123 3944, President Igor Dodon announced through a social networking site, IPN reports.
Under the agreements reached by President Dodon with his Russian counteract Vladimir Putin, the Moldovans who are on the territory of the Russian Federation, but stayed longer than allowed there will be able to return to Moldova without facing administrative penalties during January 1 – February 24, 2019.
As regards the migrants who were banned from entering Russia based on Articles 26 (points 4 and 8) and 27 (points 12,13,14 and 27) of the migration legislation and will return to Moldova in the given period, the Russian authorities undertake to reexamine, as of February 25, the imposed penalties so as to annul or replace them with milder punishments.
