Calin Georgescu and Elena Lasconi, message to Moldovan voters

The two candidates who are in the second round of the presidential elections in Romania have addressed Moldovan voters who also have Romanian citizenship, IPN reports.

The independent candidate in Romania's presidential elections, Calin Georgescu, who got the most votes in the first round, said in his message that he guarantees Moldovans all his support in the future.

"I say to you, my Moldovan brothers, you will have our support, my personal support, for whatever you think is in your interest as a country. What you believe will bring you well-being and stability is your problem, it is your decision. In any organization or international community, we stand by you unconditionally. Moldovans will never be alone", said Calin Georgescu.

USR (Save Romania Union party) candidate Elena Lasconi also addressed a message to Romanian citizens in the Republic of Moldova.

"Dear Romanian citizens of the Republic of Moldova, but also Moldovans in the diaspora. You have shown that, when you were united, you kept your country on the pro-European path. I ask you now to do the same for your brothers. Keep Romania on the same path towards the West, towards the European Union and NATO. Together with the USR, I assure you of my full support to make border crossings faster, so that you do not have to wait three hours, but just 15 minutes. Brothers, we need your support. I count on you", Elena Lasconi said in her message.

The layouts for the ballot papers for the presidential elections on Sunday, December 8, have been finalized, Romania's Central Electoral Bureau announced. Independent candidate Calin Georgescu will be in first place and Elena Lasconi, the USR candidate, in second place.
