Cahul to host first crossborder agricultural forum
The first Romania-Moldova crossborder agricultural forum will take place in Cahul on May 27. According to a communique from Romania's Consulate General in Cahul, the event is designed to contribute to the development of the economic relations in agriculture between the two countries, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The forum will focus on issues with direct impact on the economic development of agriculture, including application of modern management in the agricultural sector, creation of professional associations of producers, imports-exports to the EU with emphasis on the phitosanitary and quality standards. Within specialized working groups, there will be discussed problems encountered in wine industry, vegetable growing, animal breeding, beekeeping, grain growing and other sectors.
The debates will enable to identify joint problems to which solutions can be found by establishing partnerships and implementing projects with European financing. The event will involve Moldovan and Romanian Ministers of Agriculture Vasile Bumacov and Valeriu Tabara.
The Romania-Moldova crossborder agricultural forum is organized by the Romanian Consulate General in Cahul in partnership with the Association of Business Women FFEMIDA, Pro-Europa Cahul Center and the Cahul Business Center.
