Cahul-Oancea border crossing point to reopen

The Cahul-Oancea border crossing point (road/international) resumes work in the evening of November 16. The point opens to traffic of passengers and freight carriers at 8pm.

The Border Police said a series of travel restrictions imposed in connection with the pandemic are valid on the crossing of the state border. The foreigners and stateless persons who come from countries classed as “red zone” cannot enter the Republic of Moldova, except for particular categories of persons.

The persons who enter Moldova and declare that they come from countries classed as “green zones” will not fill out the epidemiological form and will not sign an own responsibility statement to pledge to self-isolate for 14 days.

If the person set off from a country classed as “green zone”, but during the trip crossed countries classed as “red zones”, this is considered as coming from a red zone.
