Cabinet of Ministers makes income statements public

Vlad Filat last year earned 193,282.69 lei from his salary as Prime Minister. His shareholding in the foreign capital company Kapital Invest Kompany based in Romania's Iasi totals 7 million lei. Filat's income statement for 2009 was published on the official website of the Government, Info-Prim Neo reports. The Premier said he owns a house that is 376 square meters in area and three cars. Deputy Prime Minister Valeriu Lazar, who is also Minister of Economy, earned more money than the other three Deputy Premiers. Last year, he had a salary of 186,564.10 lei. He owns holdings of 402,330.70 lei in companies. Deputy Prime Minister Iurie Leanca, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, declared salary incomes of 121,862.59 lei. Leanca earned €3,794.26 in interest from deposits. Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Victor Osipov received 140,930.47 lei in salaries last year. Osipov owns a car bought in leasing. The income statement of the fourth Deputy Premier Ion Negrei, who is responsible for social problems, has not been made public. Minister of State Victor Bodiu declared incomes of 1,256,524.43 lei from his salary. He owns two cars, two motorcycles, a house that is 129 square meters in area and an apartment that occupies 75 square meters in Chisinau. Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Valeriu Cosarciuc last year earned 313,306.58 lei in salaries, plus 30,000 lei interest from deposits. Minister of Justice Alexandru Tanase received 199,451.29 lei in salaries. No other information about their property was made known. Minister of Labor, Social Protection and Family Valentina Buliga declared incomes of 180.479.55 lei from the salary. She owns a house and a plot in Codru town. She took out a home loan that was 70% repaid by the end of the year, but also has a bank deposit of 136,000 lei. Minister of Education Leonid Bujor earned 153,070 lei from the salary, while Minister of Culture Boris Focsa – 135,044 lei. The latter also earned 21,600 lei from teaching work and 41,400 lei from creation activity. Focsa also owns a plot in Gura Bacului village of Anenii Noi district and an apartment in Chisinau that is 69 square meters in area. Minister of Construction and Regional Development Marcel Raducan declared incomes of 126,770.48 lei from the salary and 11,689 lei from teaching work. He also made 48,000 lei from other activities and owns a shareholding of 1,708,176,839 lei in SRL Maran. Minister of Finance Valeriu Negruta earned 95,121.06 lei in salaries. He owns a plot for construction of 600 square meters in Trusen that is worth over 23,000 lei, an unfinished construction of 190 square meters, an apartment of 54,200 square meters, two cars and a bank deposit of €500. Minister of Health Vladimir Hotineanu received 72,664.07 lei in salaries and over 158,000 lei from teaching work. He also earned 3,084 lei from other legal sources. He owns two plots of land in Telenesti and Causeni and a house of 170 square meters. Minister of Transport and Road Infrastructure Anatol Salaru earned 69,460.93 lei in salaries. He possesses three plots of land outside Chisinau, two apartments in the capital city, a house in Bucharest, a garage and two cars. Minister of Defense Vitalie Marinuta declared incomes of 58,052.2 lei from the salary and 47,865 lei from other legal sources. He owns a plot for construction in Holercani village, a house of about 59 square meters in the same village and a two-room apartment in Durlesti town. He also has a car and a holding in SRL Mari Grup. Minister of the Interior Victor Catan earned 28,047 lei from the salary and 30,875 lei from teaching work. He lives in Codru town in a house that is 193 square meters in area and is worth over 1 million lei. He owns a car. Minister of the Environment Gheorghe Salaru earned a salary of 24,840.00 lei since September 25, when he was appointed to the post. Minister of Information and Communication Technology Alexandru Oleinic received 22,590.91 lei in salaries. He has an apartment of 130 square meters in Chisinau and another one of 70 square meters in Soroca. Minister of Youth and Sport Ion Cebanu and the governor of the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia Mihail Formuzal did not make their incomes public.
