On April 1, pensions and social benefits will be indexed by 10%. A decision in this regard was approved by the Cabinet. The indexation applies to old-age pensions, disability pensions, disability allowances and other benefits, IPN reports.

The indexation coefficient will be applied only for the part of the pension that does not exceed the average monthly salary in the economy, forecast for the current year in the amount of 16,100 lei.

The minimum old-age pension will increase to 3,055 lei, the average pension will be 4,407 lei, and the minimum disability pensions will be 1,527 lei.
