The Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Culture will have by two deputy ministers, not one minister as until now. The decision was taken by the Government in its June 26 sitting, IPN reports.

Minister of Defense Vitalie Marinuta asked instituting the second post of deputy minister because one person cannot manage such a wide range of areas of activity. Culture Minister Monica Babuc invoked the same reasons.

The candidates for the two posts will be proposed in one of the next meetings.
