Money for the former President of Moldova Vladimir Voronin is collected in downtown Chisinau in front of UNIC Department Store. The organizer of the action asks the people to donate only by 1 leu, Info-Prim Neo reports. The organizer is Stanislav Ivanita, a farmer from Donduseni district, who this summer has staged a number of protests in front of the Government’s building demanding that the purchase price of milk be raised. On Wedmesday, December 16, Ivanita put two posters in the square of the store and a glass box for collecting money. He chanted such slogans as “Poor Voronin – 1 Leu from the Hungry Proletariat” and “Voronin, it’s Time to Retire!" Stanislav Ivanita said he staged the action in the name of all those who suffer the consequences of the Communist government. He also said he will send the money to Voronin by mail, but if Voronin refuses to take it he will allocate it for building a monument in memory of Valeriu Boboc. The action will last for several days between 12.00 and 13.00.
