The Social Mission Diaconia has launched a charity program to help children left without parental care. Anyone can help an orphan by buying a charity Christmas card which will convey your goodwill and best wishes to your loved ones and, at the same time, offer spiritual warmth to the children deprived of the love of those who brought them into this world, the Mission said in a statement quoted by Info-Prim Neo. The technical support of the drive is provided by SRL “Rosalinda”, which will offer the cards for sale. By visiting www.papercards.md, anyone can pick a Christmas card from a large variety on offer. The buyers will pay a charity fee of 5 lei (some $0.5) in addition to the cost of each card purchased. The proceeds will be used in the framework of the project “Towards a Family”, which aims at reintegrating orphan children into their families. The project targets the Leova-based Boarding School and has 220 beneficiaries. “Christmas is a very beautiful occasion to show solidarity. Join our cause to help an orphan child smile!”, the Mission urges. Established in 20003, the Social Mission Diaconia is the charity arm of the Metropolitan Church of Bessarabia.
