Tomorrow, August 31, on the national holiday “Our Language”, the people in Chisinau's Botanica district will have another reason to celebrate. A bust of Prince Alexandru Ioan Cuza will be installed at the intersection of the boulevards Dacia and Cuza Voda. The work is a donation of the Prahova County Council from Romania. According to Botanica sector Praetor Vladimir Guritenco, the bust was already installed and today the finishing works will be completed. “The pace is right and I think the bust will look great”, said the Praetor. The bust was made by Romanian sculptor Constantin Ionescu and costs €10,000. It is a meter high and has a 43x52 cm base. The bust was commissioned by the Cultural-Historical Society “Mihai Viteazul” and by the Foundation “Constantin Stere”.
