The bust of King Ferdinand I of Romania will be placed in Tepilova village of Soroca district, in accordance with a draft decision approved by the Ministry of Culture. Such a decision was taken by the Cabinet on December 7, IPN reports.
The bust will be set up in front of the local home of culture. The costs associated with designing and building will be covered with donations and sponsorships.
A bust of King Ferdinand I was unveiled in the village in 1937, but this was later removed and destroyed in the Soviet period. The new bust will be built up on the same place and will be made based on historical photos.
Ferdinand I ruled in Romania since 1914 until his death in 1927.
