Busses with Romanian students allowed to pass after five hours

After waiting for five hours, the two buses with Romanian students were allowed to cross the border with Ukraine. They went to Hagi Curda village in Odessa region, where a Romanian church was blessed on Saturday, Info-Prim Neo reports. Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, George Simion, a member of the Civic Platform “Action 2012”, said the Ukrainian authorities provided no explanations as to why they had been detained in the customs for so long. “I think the Ukrainian customs officers were bothered that we are ethnic Romanians,” he said. The two buses with about 100 Romanian students were stopped at the Giurgiulesti-Reni customs post at about 6.00 without explanations.
