The first 15 participants in the seminar, who are mainly young persons aged between 18 and 30 from villages and small towns, were selected from about 150 applicants. The seminars are held at the company Lumintehnica and will end on November 26.
According to the statistics of the project, more than 9,000 persons with visual impairments from Moldova live in conditions of increased social and economic risk. The Society of the Blind's annual report shows about 40% of them are blind. Their pension is lower than 800 lei, which represents 70% of the minimum subsistence level.
