A business incubator was opened in Cosnita village of Dubasari district on September 16. The project aims to create at least 60 workplaces and to increase the number of competitive economic activities. Attending the event, Prime Minister Iurie Leanca said the business incubators are designed to give an additional chance to those who have entrepreneurial spirit and initiative and to those who prefer to remain at home and contribute to the country’s modernization, IPN reports.
According to the Government’s press service, the business incubator in Cosnita was created with financial support from the European Union within the Economic Stimulation in Rural Areas Program. Almost 30 million lei was allocated for implementing the program over the last three years.
“Moldova’s success is our success. We will work together to archive success. Everything is in the hands of the Moldovan Government. We support projects o the kind,” said the Head of the EU Delegation to Moldova Pirkka Tapiola.
According to the official, 900 business incubators work in the EU member states. They became an instrument that provides different support to developing companies and existing companies. “The common goal of the EU and the Government of Moldova is to create five such incubators in 2013. The incubator in Cosnita is one of them,” stated the EU Ambassador.
The head of Dubasari district Grigore Polichinschi welcomed the idea of opening a business incubator on the left side of the Nistru. “We must live better and develop like the whole Europe. This incubator is a step towards the country’s reintegration and a proof that the local and central authorities and the foreign partners don’t make only statements, but also do things,” he added.
Business incubators work in Soroca, Stefan Voda, Leova, Rezina, and Sangerei.
