The companies that sell tobacco products at a distance shorter than 200 meters from education institutions are cautioned to withdraw these from sale as of December 4. This is one of the common measures taken by the Chisinau City Hall and the Ministry of the Interior in a bid to solve the pressing problems faced in the capital city, IPN reports, quoting the local administration.
Contacted by IPN, General Police Inspectorate press officer Mariana Beţivu said the sale of tobacco products closer than 200 meters from education institutions is banned by law and the police will intervene as until now. If irregularities are identified, measures will be taken in accordance with the law.
Referring to the kiosks selling in Chisinau, Mayor General Ion Ceban said these should be removed and the small traders should be offered places in markets.
