The authorities announced that the second stage of the technical overhaul of buses and minibuses authorized to transport passengers on routes in the municipality of Chisinau will take place on October 1-13, 2014, IPN reports.
According to the Chisinau City Hall’s Public Relations Division, the technical state of the units of transport and their internal and external aspect, including their equipment, will be determined at the testing stations of Chisinau municipality that were authorized by the Ministry of Transport and Road Infrastructure. The technical overhaul will be performed by employees of the testing stations in concert with representatives of the Transport Division and the Traffic Police.
The vehicles that will not pass the test can be removed from routes by the Public Transport and Communications Division. The Division can also withdraw the license allowing providing passenger transportation services of the carriers that didn’t present the vehicles for the technical overhaul or whose units of transport didn’t pass the test.
The first stage of the technical overhaul took place on April 1-12, 2014.
