Bus passes for municipal routes can only be bought at the Urban Bus Depot headquarters. Several dissatisfied passenger, mostly those from suburbs, communicated the problem to Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca. “It is absurd to make people buy passes from the institution's headquarters. You do realize, 35 localities from the suburbs, plus the city routes, all have to go to the Urban Bus Depot to buy passes”, stated the Mayor. Urban Bus Depot head Iacob Capcelea explained that until September 1 passes were also available for purchase in suburbs, but the State Tax Inspectorate banned their sale, because the sellers weren't giving out receipts. The UBD administration proposed to sell passes through conductors, who would print receipts using a mobile cash register, but the latter refused to take upon them such a responsibility. The Mayor asked the enterprise's administration to come up with solutions that would remove the discomfort created to the passengers.
