Bus and trolleybus drivers and ticket collectors wear gowns, gloves, masks and face shields

The public transport in Chisinau started to run according to the ordinary program and transport ticket collectors returned to work. These and the drivers wear gowns, gloves, masks and face shields and the travelers can sanitize their hands with disinfectant on the vehicles, IPN reports.

In the ordinary meeting of officials of municipal services, Lilian Copaci, acting head of the General Public Transport and Communications Division, said that after each route the trolleybuses and buses are disinfected. A number of 321 trolleybuses and 104 buses were placed on routes today.

Given that the danger of infection with the novel coronavirus persists, at most 35 persons can get onto a trolleybus and an ordinary bus and at most 50 persons onto an articulated bus.

The Chisinau City Hall remains that as of May 4 all the passengers of public transport are obliged to wear face masks or reusable materials such as scarves and other clothing items to cover the mouth and nose.
