A Bureau for European Integration will be created at the State Chancellery to support the Government in its efforts to implement Moldova’s agenda of integration into the EU, as the Cabinet decided on Wednesday, IPN reports.
The approved draft decision says the creation of the Bureau confirms the firm commitment to continue on the path of European imitation and is an important stage in preparing Moldova for the opening of accession negotiations with the European Union.
The Bureau will be led by the minister of foreign affairs and European integration and will manage the integration process at domestic level, including by coordinating the approximation of the national legislation to the EU acquis. The Bureau’s employees will ensure efficient communication about the European Union and the benefits of joining the EU.
