Bureau for Diaspora Relations launches program “Government closer to you”

The Bureau for Diaspora Relations has launched the program “Government closer to you” that consists in the organization of working visits to counties with the most numerous communities of Moldovans. This way, the Bureau aims to offer the ministries the opportunity of informing the Moldovan people who are abroad about their main activities and of promoting new projects and services intended for the diaspora, IPN reports.

Four visits have been planned within the program. The themes that will be addressed during these are selected depending on the specific features and necessities of the diaspora. The first visit will be made to Russia on November 1-4. According to statistics, most of the Moldovan migrants are now in Russia. The delegation of the Government of Moldova to Moscow will include representatives of the Bureau for Diaspora Relations, the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Family and the Ministry of the Interior. These will have negotiations on migration agreements with the Russian authorities.

The second visit will be paid to Spain in December. The next visits will take place next January-April, depending on the experience accumulated as a result of the first two.
