Bulgarian ambassador to Chisinau cooperated with security services

Petar Vodenski, Bulgarian Ambassador in Moldova in 1995-1999, appears on the list of persons who cooperated with the former security services of Bulgaria. The list was made public by the Bulgarian secret files commission, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the website of the local news agency “Focus”. Petar Vodenski had cooperated under the pseudonym Velinov. In 1990-1991, Vodenski served as Bulgaria's special consul in Istanbul (Turkey), while in 1999-2005 – as special envoy in Nicosia (Cyprus). The list also includes the consul in Istanbul in 1998-2003 Branimir Mladenov, the general consul in Istanbul in 2008 Evgheni Ghenev, the consul general in Odrin in 1990-1991 Kiril Momchilov, the special envoy in Bon in 1991-1998 Stoian Stalev, the consul general in Istanbul in 2003-2006 Rusco Gheorghev and other Bulgarian diplomats.
