Bulgaria gives 130,000 euros for projects in Taraclia

The Bulgarian Government has offered funding for several projects to be implemented in the Moldovan district of Taraclia, populated mainly by ethnic Bulgarians.

As part of the “Bulgarian Cooperation for Development” program, some 85,000 euros will go to renovate the infectious diseases department of the Taraclia District Hospital.

About 37,000 euros will be given to the local folk dance and song ensemble Radoljubie, in particular to repair its rehearsal space and buy sound equipment.

A further 8,500 euros will go to improve the energy efficiency of the Taraclia State University main study block.

Meanwhile, Bulgaria’s Embassy in Chisinau will continue to receive until June’s end proposals for projects to be implemented beginning with June 2020 with Bulgarian non-reimbursable funding.

Georgi Yovkov, the Embassy’s counselor, was quoted by 24chasa.bg as saying that during 2016 – 2018, projects totalling over 1.5 million euros were implemented in Taraclia, Tvardița, Korten, Stoianovka, Kairaclia, Chirsova, Valea Perjei, Albota de Sus and other communities.
