The Buiucani district office in Chisinau requests a MDL 3 mln financial assistance from the municipality. Interim pretor of the district Alexandru Gorea sought from local authorities MDL 3 mln to stop landslips and MDL 7 mln to build an amusement centre for children in the district. According to Gorea, at present the authorities have identified a number of landslides around Nicolae Costin – Liviu Deleanu streets – Balcani highway, and tree-planting did not solve the problem so far. In this respect, Chisinau mayor requested the Constructions Division to work out without delay a plan of measures intended to stop the landslips. As for the construction of the amusement centre, Gorea mentioned that if compare with other districts of municipality, Buiucani does not have its own recreation centre and in each season the municipality spends about 3 mln lei to pay the rent of different economic entities for the summer holiday of children in the district. According to the cited source, the construction of the recreation centre with a seating capacity of 300 would ensure better conditions for the young generation and save public money. At the same time, the interim pretor mentioned that in March, as part of the activities intended to clean up and refit the territories, there were renovated and refitted 34 territories for household waste collection, 35 yards of the blocks of flats and cleaned 150 basements of dwelling blocks. A number of 150 landfills were liquidated. To combat street trade and evacuate the booths from the central traffic thoroughfares, in early March 45 booths were evacuated and 15 replaced. The District Office offered 40 free stalls in Buiucani markets, so as to create new workplaces.
