The building of former kindergarten No. 28 located at 16 Magda Isanos St in Chisinau was transferred back to the municipal authorities after being managed for 23 years by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research and used as a training place for teachers. The building needs to be extensively repaired as it hasn’t been used since 2006, IPN reports.

According to the Chisinau City Hall, the building will be rehabilitated and used as an early education institution. The about 12 million lei needed for the works will be allocated from the municipal budget. The kindergarten had a capacity of almost 300 places.

In a posting on a social networking site, acting mayor of Chisinau Ruslan Codreanu wrote this is the eighth kindergarten returned to the municipality during a year.
