The administration of Chisinau calls on business entities and building managers to clean the snow from near the buildings they manage. Also, the businesses and people are asked not to throw snow the accumulated snow on the roadway so as not to create dangerous situations for traffic participants, IPN reports, quoting the Chisinau City Hall.

Acting head of the road maintenance company “Exdrupo” Stefan Racu called on the drivers not to park the cars by the roadside when heavy snowfalls are forecast and at the entrances to yards so as not to hamper the work of snowplows.

Last night, 62 snowplows worked on the streets of Chisinau. There were spread about 700 tonnes of antiskid material. The authorities assure that the problematic streets are now passable too.

At 5am this morning, the Public Amenities Division intervened with 25 large snowplows and 13 smaller HACO vehicles. Its 400 workers are clearing snow and spread antiskid material on crosswalks, at entrances to stairs, on waste collection platforms, sidewalks, etc.
