The Chisinau General Division of Education, Youth and Sport budgeted 1.090 billion lei for education this year, by 40 million lei more than last year, Info-Prim Neo reports. The Division’s head Tatiana Nagnibeda-Tverdohleb said 100 million lei is needed for feeding the children. 20 million lei was earmarked for extensive repair works, while 25 million lei for the summer vacation of children. Among investments with special purpose is also the purchase of equipment for school physics laboratories, to the value of 824,000 lei, and the outfitting of schools with computers at a cost of 1 million lei. The Swedish buffet project has been implemented at another 14 education institutions in Chisinau this month. By February 1, there will be 20 schools with such a buffet in the municipality. A sum of 1 million lei will be needed for buying equipment for the Swedish buffets at the 14 education institutions.
