Boxers Dorin Bucșa and Alexandru Paraschiv have qualified for the semifinals of the Under 22 European Boxing Champions held in Russia’s Vladikavkaz, securing thus at least bronze, IPN reports.

Dorin Bucșa, 60 kg weight class, defeated his challengers from Croatia and Germany and in the semifinal will meet Dmitri Diaskevici of Belarus. Alexandru Paraschiv scored three victories in the 64 kg class. He beat the pugilists from Hungary, Germany and France and will play Russia’s Alan Abaev in the semifinal.

Another two Moldovan boxers, Andrei Zaplitnyi (91 kg) and Cristina Kravchenko (57 kg), finished fifth.
