The Bucharest Metropolitan Library from Romania has donated 10,000 books to the “B. P. Hașdeu” Library in Chișinău.

According to a press release from the Bucharest Metropolitan Library, 17,000 books have been transferred previously, following a promise made by Bucharest Mayor Gabriela Firea, during a visit to Chișinău at the beginning of the year. Another 3,000 books are to be delivered by October 14.

ontacted by IPN, Larisa Staver, head of the management and info-documentary resources department, stated that the donation will be distributed across the library’s 28 branches, the largest share going to the “Onisifor Ghibu” branch. The donation mostly comprises Romanian and international literature in fields like history, art, pedagogy, geography, and children’s literature. The donation also contains dictionary DVDs and CDs, geography books, logic games, tabletop games, and children’s games.
