Bucharest authorities want direct dialogue with Chisinau
Romania would like to have a direct dialogue with Chisinau, Romanian Foreign Minister Adrian Cioroianu told his Czech counterpart Karel Schwarzenberg while in Prague on a visit.
Cioroianu was quoted by the Bucharest press as saying that Romania wants to support Moldova on the path to European integration and to share its experience and it does not accept “communication through news conferences”.
Cioroianu also said that Romania backs all the pro-European projects put forward by Chisinau, not yet the notion of Moldovan language. He stressed that “it would be really difficult” for Romania to agree to the phrase ‘Moldovan language’.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova Andrei Stratan is also in Prague on a visit between October 24 and 25. He will meet the Czech Foreign Minister Karel Schwarzenberg as well.
