The injective insulin and other anti-diabetic preparations will be prescribed to patients not only by family doctors, but also by endocrinologists, neurologists and psychiatrists. A decision to this effect was taken by the Government on July 24.
Minister of Health Andrei Usatyi said the decision is aimed at increasing diabetics’ access to the medicines they need.
The injected insulin is among the drugs that are compensated (their price is paid by the state) from the medical health insurance funds.
