The Broadcasting Coordinating Council has ordered TV channels to post warning labels when airing certain programs to advise parents of content inappropriate for children, Info-Prim Neo reports. BCC member Dinu Ciocan said the decision was crucial for protecting minors. Under the new measure, programs will be classified according to viewers' age category and to airing hours. For example, showing cartoons for children under seven will be allowed only until a certain hour. Another measure adopted by the BCC sets out the conditions for the participation of children in audiovisual programs. One of the rules states that the participation of minors in broadcasts requires the prior written consent of the parents. The measures will take effect upon publishing in the Official Gazette.
