The private TV channel Alt TV was fined 3 600 lei for not respecting the legislation when broadcasting movies containing violence. The decision was taken by the Broadcasting Coordination Council on March 16, Info-Prim Neo reports. On March 1, Alt TV aired a horror movie and a thriller movie during daytime, both with the “AP” (the parents’ consent needed) warning. But they were to post the “16” (banned to children under 16) warning or even the “18” warning. The TV channel’s representatives invoked a technical error by which the broadcast hour was modified.
