The British Embassy in Chisinau invites to the British Film Festival, III-rd edition, organised from May 26 to June 1 at the Gaudeamus Cinema. According to the organizers, at the event there will be shown four movies and twenty-one projects. The Moldovan public can watch for free the movies „Fakers”, “Man About Dog”, “Ladies in Lavender” and “Orlando”. This diverse selection of films portrays the cultural potential of Great Britain. Thus, the film „Fakers” directed by Richard Janes is a comedy made in a classic style of movies with handsome nasty men. The “Man About Dog” comedy, directed by Paddy Breathnach, is a story full of energy, about three friends and a greyhound that brings them a lot of money and not only. A delicate and full of meaning story, about love, possessiveness and freedom – that is what the movie "Ladies in Lavender" represents, directed by Charles Dance. These three movies were shot in 2004. An older production, dating 1992, is the movie „Orlando”, by Sally Potter, about a young nobleman Orlando who has to stay to stay forever young. He will try to find the meaning of life in different places and stages. You can see the movies from Friday, May 26 to Thursday, June 1at 14:00, 17:00 and 19:00. Free tickets will be available at Gaudeamus cinema one hour before the start of the film.
