British company to donate 800 computers to Moldovan medical institutions
The British Company “Digital-Links International” will donate 800 computers worth GBP 25.6 thousand to the public medical and educations institutions from Moldova. The action is carried out with the support of the British Embassy in Moldova.
According to the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, the computers will be used for training doctors and nurses. Issues like ensuring with modern medical equipment and hospital beds were discussed by the Minister of Health Ion Ababii and David Sogan, representative of “Digital-Links International”.
In 2006, the British company donated 199 computers to the Ministry of Health and Social Protection. The computers were distributed to the raion public medical institutions, as well as to the Family Doctors Faculty of the State Medical University “Nicolae Testimeteanu”.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection signed in December 2005 a trilateral Colaboartion Memorandum with “Digital-Links International” and “Compudava” foundation, which includes ensuring the healthcare system with a significant quantity of computers and training medical workers as regards the healthcare’s informational system modernization.
