The band Brio Sonores has successfully passed through the pre-selections in Moscow to qualify for the international music contest for young talents Novaya Volna, which will take place this year during September 3-9 in the Russian resort city of Sochi.
Brio Sonores is a pop, dance and classical crossover music consisting of five members: Valeriu Moruz, Dumitru Mitu, Mihai Gandraman, Veaceslav Timofti and Vitalie Maciunschi. They began as a church choir in 2009. In 2014 the band won the fourth Romania's Got Talent show
Moldova's Natalia Gordienco won Novaya Volna's Grand Prix in 2007. There hadn't been any Moldovan entry since, except for Lidia Isac, who took the 14th place in 2014.
