Branch of “Democracy at Home” movement to be founded in Ireland

Young Moldovans who work in Ireland will set up a branch of the social-political movement “Democracy at Home” and will collect funds to support the movement, Dumitru Socol and Nicolae Broasca, who settled in Ireland, told a news conference on April 9, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to Vasile Costiuc, a member of the movement's initiative group, the young people found out about the constitution of “Democracy at Home” and inquired about the policy promoted by it. They realized the movement promotes the interests of the young people who want to return home. “The young people who are abroad do not want to support the parties that declare they are democratic, but the parties with internal democracy,” said Vasile Costiuc, adding that young Moldovans who work in Greece also intend to support the movement. Nicolae Broasca, who settled in Ireland 13 years ago, said he did not plan to remain there after earning enough money for a decent living, but now he does not want to return home as the Governments of Moldova did nothing to change the situation and to create conditions for investments and for starting businesses. Dumitru Socol left for Ireland 7 years ago, immediately after he graduated from the Police Academy. He said he will return home only after the young people manage to bring about changes. Nicolae Broasca and Dumitru Socol said they will help the movement “Democracy at Home” to strengthen its position and become a political force in Moldova. Therefore, they will found a branch in Ireland.
