Borvanov qualifies to Guadalajara Tournment quarter-finals

Moldova's Roman Borvanov on Friday qualified to the quarter-finals of the Guadalajara Tournament, which is part of the ATP Challenger Tour, advancing easily past Mexico's Miguel Angel Reyes-Varela, 6-1, 6-3, Info-Prim Neo reports. The 29-year-old Borvanov will play the American Rajeev Ram for a place in the semifinals of this tournament, which offers $100,000 in prize money. Meanwhile, Radu Albot was eliminated from the second round of the tournament in Bosnia and Herzegovina by Russia's Alexandr Kudryavtsev. Moldova's best tennis players will come together in early April when the national men's team is to play Turkey in a relegation play-off in the Davis Cup's Euro/Africa Zone Group II.
