Boris Gîlca will now head the General Medical and Social Assistance Division after managing this on an interim basis. In the ordinary meeting of officials of municipal services, mayor general Ion Ceban said Boris Gîlca won the contest to fill this post, IPN reports.
Ion Ceban congratulated Boris Gîlca, saying he deserves this important post. “There are extremely important tasks that need to be fulfilled in the health and social protection sectors. We should not relax and should further focus on the priorities. Chisinau should have a solid and well-organized system in both of the sectors,” he stated.
For his part, Boris Gîlca said that it is an honor and a responsibility for him to manage the municipal public health and social systems. “We indeed have important tasks and I’m sure we can achieve them if we work together as a team. I assume full responsibility,” he stated.
Boris Gîlca had managed the General Medical and Social Assistance Division since June 2021, following Tatiana Bucharski’s resignation. Earlier, he held a number of posts at the central level, including of deputy minister and of secretary of state at the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection.
