A 55-year-old man was caught smuggling walnut kernel. The merchandize to the value of 1 million lei was found in a truck stopped for a check by a mobile team of the Customs Service in Clocusna village of Ocnita district, IPN reports.
In a communique, the Customs Service says that during the check the driver had a suspicious behavior. The found walnut kernel and the unit of transport were confiscated.
The man faces a fine of up to 20,000 lei or up to ten years in jail.
