Mobile teams of the Border Police will soon start work in order to patrol the supervised territory on larger areas. The regulations governing their activity were approved by the Government on September 4, IPN reports.
The mobile teams will work in cooperation with other institutions, including the Customs Service, the General Police Inspectorate, and the Migration and Asylum Bureau. In this respect, there will be created joint mobile teams for combating illegal migration, trafficking in persons, and other crossborder offenses.
The announced goals derive from the commitments made by Moldova for implementing the Visa Liberalization Action Plan with the EU.
