Seventy-six persons suspected of offenses were arrested during a special operation performed by the Border Police. Of these, 45 were arrested at border crossing points, while the others inside the country, IPN reports.

The actions that formed part of the operation were carried out during holidays based on operational information.

There are now 668 more persons wanted by the Border Police. Thirty-two of them are wanted for especially serious offenses. Of all the wanted persons, 502 were put on the wanted list by prosecution bodies, while 166 by the court of law.

In 2021, 475 offenders wanted by the national law enforcement agencies were stopped at border crossing points and were later hander over to the responsible bodies.
