Border-guards to be hired by contract
Three new border-guards posts will be built this year, where people to be hired by contract by the Border-Guards Service will work . Other 6 offices of this kind will be built the coming three years, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Igor Kolenov, the Border-Guards Service chief, says that, according to the Plan on developing the infrastructure of the state border in 2009 – 2011, those 70 existent posts will be renovated and connected to gas, water and drainage.
The budget has 25.5 million lei earmarked for the purpose. Other money to modernize the buildings of the Border-Guards Service, to rehabilitate their infrastructure are expected from the EU. It will also the European Union, which will provide the technical assistance.
In addition, 3 million lei will be granted annually to build dwelling blocks for the Service's employees.
