Starting from today, August 23, and over the next eight days, border control activities will be supplemented, in particular work will be carried out to maximum capacity during periods of intensified traffic - in the morning hours and in the afternoon, it is specified in a press release of the Border Police, quoted by IPN.

Participants in cross-border traffic are urged to check beforehand the situation at the border crossing points. Either to access the "online traffic" application, on the official page of the Border Police Inspectorate General, www.border.gov.md, or to follow the IGPF Facebook page, where data on the situation at the most crowded crossing points will be posted in real time.

Also, passengers can consult Green Line service officers at: 022-259-717, who, in addition to the information regarding the documents required to cross the border, may inform about the situation at the crossing points.

Currently, seven crossing points are open for circulation with Romania, while with Ukraine - 33 crossing points.

At the Moldovan-Romanian border, the busiest crossing point is Leușeni. In the following days, the number of border crossings is expected to double or even triple as compared to an ordinary day. Border guards recommend that citizens choose Sculeni or Costești crossing points.

At the border with Ukraine, in the next period there will be an increased flow at several crossing points: Palanca, Tudora, Criva and Mirnoe.
