The residents of the Transnistrian region who travel based on passports issued by other states will no longer be treated as the foreigners from outside the country, who are penalized if they violate the regime of staying in Moldova.

Relevant amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses took effect on November 8, IPN reports, quoting a communiqué from the Government.

The persons who will cross the border will present documents showing that they have the domicile in the Transnistrian region. They will also fill out an own responsibility statement as regards their residence in Transnistria.
