Boom barrier at railway border crossing smashed in hit-and-run
A nameless driver heavily damaged a boom barrier installed at a railway crossing on the border with Ukraine, near Mohyliv-Podilskyi, the Moldovan Railways reported.
On Tuesday early morning, the driver, who still remains unidentified, drove the car into the barrier, shattering it and damaging the operating mechanism, its lights and siren.
According to the Moldovan Railways, the barrier is damaged beyond repair.
There are 242 boom barriers installed at railway crossings across Moldova.
